My name is Monike, and I’m a thirty-something Speech-Language Pathologist and recovering Biology major. Call it a tribute to my grandparents, but creating with my hands is an essential way for me to find connection and calm. From crafting custom Barbie furniture in grade school to designing functional art today, I’ve always been drawn to making things that serve both beauty and purpose. My creative journey has evolved into intricate ink-and-paper designs, everyday ceramic pieces, and the fusion of both. I currently live just outside of Austin, Texas with my partner and our three spoiled cats—Waffles, Bonnie, and Lux.
